Bubbles can be drunk at all times and not just when you are celebrating. The production has increased by 57% since 2002. The world now produces 2.5 billion bottles or sparkling wine. This is just under 8% of the world's total wine production of 32.5 billion bottles.

464 Million Bottles of Prosecco DOC were Sold in 2018
That is an estimated retail value of 2.4 billion euros, 2 billion pounds, or 2.5 billion dollars.
Out of the 464 million bottles of Prosecco sold, 83.32% were Sparkling, 16.63% Semi-Sparkling and 0.05% Still.

Prosecco Rosé will land in U.S. by Christmas 2020. Category approved by Italy’s National Wine Committee.
On Wednesday of this week, Italy’s National Wine Committee gave Prosecco DOC producers the green light to begin making Prosecco Rosé.
